This photoshop tutorial will teach you to make use of blending options and brush to create a cool text effect on background image.
[1] Take a new file of 500 pixels by 200 pixels and resolution of
72 dpi in the RGB mode.
[2] Now fll the background with color black,
and take the Text
Tool create your text.
[3] Then hold Cntl+Click the text layer.
[4] Then go to Select>Modify>Expand selection.
[5] Your image will be look like this.
[6] Now make the new layer.
[7] Then take the Gradient Tool and
set the gradient color as shown image below.
[8] Then fill the selection with the help of gradient tool.
[9] You have still seleted Layer 1, and now hold Cntl+Click
the
orignal text layer to load a selection as shown image below.
[10] Then press Delete Kye on your keyboard.
[11] Now hide your orignal text layer as shown image below.
[12] Then go to Blending Option and select
Bevel and Emboss
use these settings.
[13] Do not click ok now select the
Color Overlay use these
settings
[14] Do not click ok now select the
Gradient Overlay use these
settings
[15] Your image should be look like this.
[16] Now select the Brush Tool
and use these settings.
[17] Then select the Backgound
layer use the Brush Tool.
