  1. Create a new document of dimensions 300 x 300 px with white background.

  2. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M) and make a rectangle of width 50px and height 80px.

    image002

Create a new layer . Press the "G" key to select the gradient tool . Select linear gradient and set the presets as shown in the image.

    image003

Click and drag from left to right in the image window. TIP Hold down the Shift key to constrain to perfect horizontal line.

    image005

Press Ctrl + D. Goto Edit > Transform > Perspective. Hold one of the bottom points and drag inside towards the center.

    image006

Drag the cursor until you have a Cone. Press enter twice.

    image007

Click on the Add Layer Style button in the layers palette . In the layer style window select the Inner Shadow option. Set the distance and size as 7 and 10px respectively and set the shadow angle to -145.

    image008

Then select the Stroke option. Set the stroke color to #05540f, size 1px and position centre. Click Ok and name the layer as Cone.

    image009

  3. Next we will create Metal Spring encircling the Cone. First Press D and then Press X to set the foreground color to White. Select the Pen Tool and create shape of a spiral ring as shown in the image.

    image013

Click on the Add Layer Style button in the layers palette . In the layer style window select the Bevel and Emboss option. Set the style as Inner Bevel, Depth 301%, Direction down, size 8px and soften 1px. For shading set the Gloss contour to Ring (as shown in the image below) and shadow mode to Linear burn.

    image014

Then select the Contour option under the Bevel and Emboss Style. Set the element to Rounded steps and range 100%.

    image015

Next select the Drop Shadow option and set the distance as 2px and size 3px. Click Ok. Name the layer as Spiral.

    image016

  4. Right click on the spiral layer and select Duplicate Layer.

    image017

Press Ctrl + T and in the tools option set the width to 80% (adjust the width according to the size of your cone).

    image018

Position the spiral as shown in the image.

    image019

  5. Repeat the step 4 three more times. Your image should look like this.

    image020

  6. Select the Pen Tool and create shape as shown in the image.

    image021

  7. Click on the Create a new Group button in the layers palette to create a folder. Name it as one.

    image022

Move all the layers except the Background layer into the One Group. It is always a good practice to group the similar layers. This increase clarity and also avoids confusion when we a dealing with many layers.

    image023

  8. Right click on the group you have created and select Duplicate Group.

    image024

Press Ctrl + T and in the tools option set the Reference point location to bottom centre and rotation angle to 60.

    image025

Press enter twice. Name the group as Two. As you can see it is easier to work when we group the layers rather than working on individual layer.

    image026

  9. Repeat the step 8 to create 4 more groups and name them Three, Four, Five and Six. Adjust your Reference point for each of the group so that they point to the tip of the cone. Your image should look like.

    image027

  10. Next we will create 3d effect to our image. Press Shift and select all the six groups. Press Ctrl + T. Right click on the image in the image window and select perspective, alternately goto Edit > Transform > Perspective. Drag the top right corner slightly downwards. Press enter.

    image028

Then rotate the image (around 15 degrees).

    image029

Select Cone layer of the Group five. Set the foreground color to # 064d10. Select the Pen Tool and create an oval shape.

    image030

Click on the Add Layer Style button in the layers palette . In the layer style window select the Stroke option. Set the stroke color to #000000, size 2px and position outside.

    image031

Then select the Drop Shadow option. Set the Distance and size to 5px.

    image032

Select Cone layer of the Group four. Set the foreground color to # 708a73. Select the Pen Tool and create an oval shape.

    image033

Then select the Group two. Goto Edit > Transform > Perspective. And adjust the layer as shown below.

    image034

  11. Finally we will create company name for our logo. Select the Text Tool and type the name of your company. You can use the font of your choice. (I have used the font-family: Chloreal of size 40pt.)

    image035

    image037

  12. The final image should look like the one below:
